Filipino comedian Gil Morales, or better known as Ate Gay, recently caught the attention of many netizens because of his message to the rival show of Gandang Gabi Vice.
The said entertainer congratulated The Boobay and Tekla Show for dominating its time slot when it comes to television ratings.
He stated in his much-talked-about post that the Kapuso comedy program has been receiving high ratings for a year already.
On Twitter, Ate Gay shared a photo of the ratings posted by GMA Network where Boobay and Tekla’s program garnered 4.4 ratings while the Kapamilya comedian’s show gained 3.0.
“Congrats… isang taon ma kayo namamayagpag ??????” he wrote in his caption.
Netizens were quick to decipher the alleged shade and malicious intent of the post.
Here are some comments from the post:
“May rating comparison may name ng show tapos walang malisya?”
“Ate Gay, matagal ka na sa showbiz. Bakit kailangan mong dibdibin ang mga sinasabi ng iba? Hayaan mo sila. Gawin mo ang nararapat. Love you.”
“Bitter ka gurl!!! Trying hard ka masyado. akala ko ba move on ka na sa tnt?? Looser!!”
“Bobo ba tingin mo sa mga nagbabasa?? Tama lang din siguro na di ka natuloy sa tnt, you’re not worth it. Tama si @vicegandako ang dame mong chika.”
“if wala pong malisya y do u have to post the pic with ratings pa vs ggv (vice)? don’t make people dumb.”
“bitter mo naman . tagal mo na comedienne pero yan paren better asses yourself baka attitude ka namn dami mo hanash at hinanakit nega.”
However, Ate Gay explained in another Instagram status that he just congratulated the GMA-7 show because he treats its hosts like true friends and “anak-anakan”.
He also called on people to never put malice on his viral post since he does not intend to offend the “Unkabogable Star” or other people.
“Anak ko si Boobay at kasama ko si Tekla sa Klownz at Zirkoh. Umabot sila ng isang taon kaya ko sila binati. Ang susunod kong bati ay next year,” he explained.
“Huwag po bigyan ng malisya. Maraming salamat po! Love, love, love…” he added.
