On today’s Feast of the Black Nazarene, devotees flock to Quiapo, Manila for the “Traslacion.”
The annual procession of the Feast of the Black Nazarene happens every January 9. Hijos will carry the life-size statue for 6 kilometers. It will travel from Rizal Park going to the Basilica in Quiapo.
The Black Nazarene has celebrities who take time off busy schedules to observe the Catholic tradition.

“FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano” star Coco Martin has been a devotee of the Black Nazarene even before he joined show business. It was in 2007 when he first got the chance to touch the blessed image while shooting the indie film “Tirador.”

A devotee of the Black Nazarene for 30 years now, despite his impressive credentials as a renowned broadcaster who tried his luck in politics, Noli has always been a proud Black Nazarene devotee.

Veteran actor Christopher de Leon is also one of the devotees who strive to climb the “Andas” just to touch the Black Nazarene.
4. Bayani Agbayani
Bayani Agbayani’s devotion also stemmed from his mother’s strong faith in the Black Nazarene. After the passing of Bayani’s father, his mother Mila had been praying to the Black Nazarene to help her raise all six children.
5. Mcoy De Leon
Hashtag member McCoy de Leon took a break from his hectic schedule last year and joined the procession. On Instagram, he shared his experience of climbing up and kissing the cross of the Black Nazarene.
