Veteran actor Menggie Cobarrubias bid his goodbye today.
Menggie’s untimely passing posted on Cinema Bravo’s Facebook page.
His niece Patricia Prudon confirmed the news on Facebook. Cobarrubias, a veteran in the entertainment industry, was tested for the C0VID-19 prior to passing. His family, however, has yet to get the test results.
“Will keep everyone posted,” said Prudon.
“Thank you for being a father, a lawyer, a general and a whole lot more roles to Philippine cinema. You will surely be missed,” she added.
Menggie’s wife also posted a heartfelt message about his passing.
“Goodbye, my love. Thank you for the 30 wonderful years. I love you. Dear God, please give me the strength to be able to face this very difficult moment of my life,” Cobarrubias’ wife Gina Jorge Cobarrubias stated.
Apparently, On Tuesday evening, March 25, Cobarrubias posted a “Goodbye” message on Facebook.
A friend and actor Lui Quiambao Manansala posted on Wednesday, March 26 that they were still waiting for the C0VID-19 test result. Cobarrubias was already in “critical” condition then.
According to the Daily Tribune and Brigada News Davao, the acclaimed actor died in a hospital in Alabang. Initial reports say that before being admitted to the hospital in Alabang, he was earlier sent home by a hospital in Makati despite still having a fever.
He was tested for C0VID-19 but the result has not yet been released.
Upon news of Cobarrubias’ passing, friends and fans of the actor offered their condolences on social media, paying tribute to “Tito Menggie.”
Meanwhile, the actor’s family is still waiting for the results of his coronavirus test results. However, there are still no further details and information regarding his passing.
Among Cobarrubias’ last projects with the Kapamilya network were “Make It with You” and “Last Fool Show.”
