While certain famous people have faltered during these trying times with their misguided and inappropriate tweets, posts and Instagram stories, these local celebrity influencers have not only lent their star power to shine a spotlight on what could be the biggest threat the world now faces.
These women had the heart and initiative, coming up with solutions to support those who need it the most showing us that women should really run the world.
Some of the personalities who have taken the initiative to do online fundraising are actress Bela Padilla and Angel Locsin.
Earlier this week, Bela opened a fund drive dubbed as “Pagkain para sa Pinoy.”
The actress closed the fundraising effort at P3.3 million.
Meanwhile, after showing her support for ABS-CBN’s franchise renewal, Angel Locsin spoke out to remind fellow Filipinos that staying at home is crucial. She also reiterated that while many individuals really want to donate masks and other protective gear, it’s difficult to find suppliers.
Dubbed as one of the celebrity philanthropists, Angel Locsin’s fundraising effort, dedicated to providing additional tents for hospitals coping with growing numbers of patients due to C0VID-19, brought in P1 million in less than 24 hours.
Locsin’s initiative is co-signed by her fiance, Neil Arce, and her fellow actress Dimples Romana, among others. The fundraiser targets to set up at least two tents each in 10 hospitals that requested their help, according to the page.
Apparently, Bela has started giving away relief goods for the vendors in the streets of Metro Manila.
Angel Locsin also has done setting up tents for front liners.
Many people said that if Angel and Bela run for politics they will surely win because they have a kind heart for the countrymen.
Do you agree with that?
Will you vote for them if ever?
